Abstract

Most industrial processes are complex multi-input multi-output (MIMO) process with inherent nonlinearity which makes their controller tuning a nontrivial task. This paper presents the real-time implementation of Hybrid Fuzzy-Proportional Integral (Fuzzy-PI) controller for a laboratory scale nonlinear MIMO system. The experimental results show that the Hybrid Fuzzy-PI controller can effectively handle control problems in complex and interacting nonlinear processes.
