Abstract

Adaptive predistortion of nonlinear systems described by Wiener and Hammerstein model structures is considered in this paper. The suggested approach utilizes the Spectral Magnitude Matching (SMM) method that minimizes the sum squared error between the spectral magnitudes of the output signal of the nonlinear system and the desired signal. The coefficients of the suggested Hammerstein and Wiener predistorters are estimated using the generalized Newton iterative algorithm. Simulation results show that the suggested approach can significantly suppress spectral regrowth and reduce nonlinear distortion.
