Abstract

In this paper, a physiological mechanism of ganglion cell of non-classical receptive field is utilized to achieve the goal of image representation based on human vision. Comparing to the previous methods using classical receptive fields, such as contour detection and edge detection, it simulates the non-classical receptive field physiological mechanism of a dynamically adjusted physiological characteristic according to the stimulation for image partial segmentation and compression representation based on image adjacent region similarity. Hence it realizes the inner image representation in neural representation level so as to further extract the semantic.
