Abstract

In this paper three Mathematical functions that are most commonly used by the Reliability Engineers are considered wherein the Mathematical Models for an Integrated Reliability Model for a Series-Parallel Configuration Redundant Systems with cost Constraint is established by applying Lagrangean Multipliers Method. The method involves determination of number of Components (xj), Component Reliabilities (rj), Stage Reliabilities (Rj) to optimize the System Reliability (Rs) and as these values are found to be in real values, to derive an integer solution the Dynamic Programming Method is applied treating the inputs from Lagrangean Method where the model is demonstrated through a case problem.
