Abstract

The research on the influence of boundary variation is carried out by scale model basing on the channel bifurcation terrain at Banan of Chongqing in the upper Changjiang River. Comparing the data of model experiment and locale measured, the influence of area variation of transversal profile is analyzed by the hydraulic parameters, such as water level, discharge and flow partition. The relation between the area variety of channel cross-section and the flow partition is valuable for the similar river bifurcation.
