The modern phase array antenna has many important applications in communication and radar systems. One of the important advantages of an array antenna is that it is relatively easy to shape the antenna beam to suit a particular application. The actual antenna pattern may deviate from the design pattern due to various types of system perturbations. This paper investigates the pattern sensitivity due to weight quantization, element position deviation and the possibility that some elements cease to function.
