Image fusion, image rectification, discrete wavelet transform, liner conjugation, moving target detection
This paper presents an algorithm for the fusion of images in video streams collected by heterogeneous top-down cameras. First, the distortion included in the input images is removed via image rectification. Then, the rectified images are fused based on discrete wavelet transform (DWT) and linear conjugation. Moving target detection using fused images is also discussed. Three optical cameras and one infrared (IR) camera are used to evaluate the proposed method. Experimental results verify that the proposed method is valid and effective.
