Abstract

In the world of Peer-to-Peer (P2P) networking different tools and protocols have been developed to make the re source sharing and the information retrieval more efficient. In large scale networked and decentralized systems re searching, simulation tools are needed to verify those new protocols since the manageability and availability of real large networks is not simple [4], [5], [6]. P2PNetSim as simulation environment allows the execution of such algo rithms in a parallel and distributed way, maintaining high scalability. This paper introduces briefly the architecture of P2PNetSim and presents an early evaluation of its perfor mance in a parallel architecture.
