Missiles, Target identification, Low resolution radar, Auto regressive modeling.
Missiles are characterized by their vibration resonate fre quencies, which are determined by the amount of mass and its location. Missiles are modelled by a collection of reflection points, whose positions can be changed to best represent the missile under study. Four different types of colored noise, which represents four locations of the munitions, “vibrate” the missile and the resulting RF signal from the coherent addition of all RF signals from the de fined reflection points is expressed in terms of autoregres sive (AR) coefficients which are a representation of the PSD of that missile. The AR coefficients are then used for target identification and/or discrimination for the no noise and additive noise cases.
