Abstract

In this paper we introduce Virtual Net, a simulation software that sits between the abstract parallel structure and the physical network. It maps the structure of a client-distributed program into the topology of the underlying network. Virtual Net provides flexibility to programmers and improves code reusability. It has three major components: daemon, library, and simulation modules. Several testing programs were developed to measure the performance versus Parallel Virtual Machine.
