A comparative study of the realism of three recent tech niques for graphical synthesis of cumulus clouds is de scribed. The realism of the techniques is evaluated here via statistical testing on human assessments of synthetic versus real imagery. The results of the evaluation are also con sidered versus a prior evaluation that used image content metrics.
