Second order differential equation characterizing RLC interconnection trees has been solved analytically to obtain closed form solution. These solutions can be used to obtain the transient response for a number of VLSI structures. Illustration provided in this work give the accuracy of the proposed work as compared to SPICE generated results. This technique can be a handy tool to obtain exact solutions for RLC interconnection structures including RLC mesh for any arbitrary input excitation.
