MIMO, FDE, MMSE, CDMA, OFDM, fractionally spaced equalizers.
This paper analyzes fractionally spaced MMSE frequency domain equalizers for MIMO systems. The concept is applicable for building reasonably low complexity MIMO receivers for CDMA systems. The MMSE equalizer optimizes the modem performance by exploiting spatial and spectral redundancy. The complexity of the resulting system is analyzed in detail and is shown to be comparable to OFDM MIMO systems. Performance results showing the trade-offs between performance and complexity are also provided and analyzed.
