Abstract

The new intelligent networks will provide information processing, retrieval and transfer services for the user transparently. The processing nodes may use various information processing models (any combination of the control, data, demand and information driven models). The structure and services are dynamically varying be cause of failures and modifications. A knowledge based generic model is presented for such a system, having logi cal, temporal and topological structures together with op erations on these structures. The model is based on pa rameterised hierarchical relations, logic functions, hierar chies of variables with their hierarchical control operators, and neighbourhood/similarity structures. Introducing a partially ordered model time, an evolutionary system can be considered, both in its capabilities and active structure.
