Abstract

: Blind multi-user parallel interference cancellers for Direct Sequence–Code Division Multiple Access (DS-CDMA) using Least Square-Constants Modulus Algorithm (LS-CMA) is proposed in this paper. LS-CMA is used within each stage of the Parallel Interference Canceller (PIC) to lock and estimate the interference of each user without any knowledge of the channel or training sequences. The proposed PIC shows improved BER performance with reduced implementation complexity and fast convergence for each user in the system. Further improvement is also achieved within multi-stage architecture.
