Abstract

: We have developed an instrument for offering tutorials in the sciences in a highly interactive virtual environment. A series of physics tutorials, based on an extensible, Learn Anytime, Anywhere Platform, can be used for Just In Time Learning, Lecture Interactives, Interactive Assessment, Problem-Based Learning and more. The instrument is ideally suited for research into complex Human Computer Interface interactions, learning difficulties in various populations of users as well as the use/misuse of scientific language. The instrument may also be in the vanguard of attempts to lessen the disparity in opportunity for robust science learning – independent of location and economic circumstance.
