Abstract

Radio Frequency IDentification tags (RFIDs) can improve production supply chains. They may also represent a new, pervasive threat to privacy. To determine whether they represent a net liability or net benefit, it is necessary to model the risks triggered by their use. This paper introduces a modelling context for RFID-based identification systems. This provides the foundation for a general model of the risk such systems represent, where both aggregation and correlation of information is taken into account.
