Numerous industrial processes can be described by a set of nonlinear differential algebraic equations. In the control engineering, such systems are known as singular systems. In this paper, we propose a robust model predictive control scheme for nonlinear singular systems based on sensitiv ity analysis. The sensitivity analysis rests in computing the sensitivity matrices for the system output along the predic tion trajectory. The proposed approach leads to the frame work known as Sequential Quadratic Programming.
