object oriented databases, methods, indexing, materialization
In this paper we describe the use and the support of objects' methods in query languages of object oriented databases. We present the problem of method materialization which is to store additional data (methods values and its depen dencies) to execute queries with methods more efficiently. We propose a new technique of materialization which de velops existing solutions decreasing their drawbacks and combining their advantages. Finally we briefly describe its implementation which shows that is is possible to use it in practice.
