The paper describes the application of the Business Intelligence approach, based on the On-Line Analytical Processing technique, to the Fault Management process. In the products development process carried out by Siemens Mobile Communication S.p.A., test phases hold great relevance. Consequently, a careful and detailed analysis on faults gives powerful and objective data to improve the Test Management process. Faults are managed in a transactional Data Base that unfortunately doesn't provide native features for complex data analysis. Thus an additional layer has been added devoted to this specific purpose.
