Information Retrieval Semantic P2P Architecture

Abstract

In the conventional Peer-to-Peer (P2P) networks, many research projects or practical applications still use the keyword-based retrieval methods in the information searching component, while few of them support semantic retrieval, and even less in considering issues in the large scale information searching environment. That is, few research works have achieved in enhancing both precision and recall simultaneously. The advent of Semantic Web is a highly innovative manner to enhance both the precision and recall simultaneously in the large-scale distributed environment. This paper investigates several searching problem as encountered in a tourism scenario. Bared an ambitious goal, we describe a preliminary architecture of average peer.
