Quadratic Systems, Observability, Observer, Compound Matrices, BinetCauchy theorem
In this paper a new necessary and sufficient condition for complete observability for symmetric quadratic dynamical systems is proposed. The important feature of the sug gested result is that it is a rank condition of a suitably de fined matrix and it is independent of s. The method for the derivation of the result is based on the notion of compound matrices and it uses the BinetCauchy formula.
