Abstract

In this paper, a fast adaptive nonlinear blind equalizer is proposed to reduce in an adaptive way nonlinear ISI, whereby a CT-based CMA is employed along with a split FIR filter structure to achieve better convergence. Also, a Wiener communication channel and a Volterra series based equalization are considered in that many nonlinear effects in communication systems can be modeled by up to third order Volterra systems. To demonstrate the performance of the proposed approach, simulation results (i.e., learning curves), obtained by the proposed and conventional approaches, are provided.
