Abstract

In this paper, a design method of robust I-PD controller based on the generalized ISE (Integral of Squared Error) criterion is proposed. In the proposed design method, the design problem based on the generalized ISE criterion is reformulated as a two-objective optimization problem. A genetic algorithm is applied to optimize this optimization problem because of its multiple search property. In or der to investigate the effectiveness of the proposed design method, a magnetic levitation system is used as an example of an uncertain plant.
