Abstract

This paper presents simulation results as well as experimental result for a proposed two stage power converter for synchrotron applications. An introduction of super capacitors as energy storage/buffer is developed on a laboratory based experimental platform. The simulation work is developed using MATLAB-Simulink® software and proposed control algorithms are verified with digital signal controller of TMS320F2808. The work will contribute a part of future development of third generation synchrotron power supplies. The digital signal controller programming for the proposed structure is developed with code composer studio of version 3.3.
