Abstract

Intending to make the NC programming flow in a more efficient manner, a novel interactive graphical programming methodology is delivered, which has been further developed into an automatic NC programming system for lathe machining. Particular advanced platform-across computing tools have been utilized for system im- plementation. Three programming paradigms has been introduced to converge the human intelligence and computing capabilities of machine, thus to facilitate the computer aided planning and manu- facturing process. The system has been applied in certain practical context, in which its efficiency and robustness were validated.
