He joined the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Batna, Algeria, in 1981 as an assistant. He received a master’s degree in microprocessor engineering in 1987 at Bradford University, Great Britain, and a Ph.D. in electronics engineering from the University of Batna, Algeria, in 2004. He is currently a full-time lecturer and is the head of the robotic research group at the Laboratory of Advanced Electronics (LEA) at the University of Batna, Algeria. His research and teaching interests are in the areas of agricultural production automation, systems and control theory, mobile robotics, data mining and watermarking. Djalal Djarah was born in 1972 in Algeria. He received his engineering diploma in electronics in 1995 from the University of Setif (Algeria), and the magister degree in robotics in 2006 from the University of Batna (Algeria). He is currently an assistant professor at the University of Ouargla (Algeria). His research interests are in mobile robotics, intelligent systems, computer vision and neural networks.
