Abstract

Considering the challenges posed by the existing agricultural mechanisation development level evaluation system, which fails to adequately address the comprehensive development, an evaluation index system was designed, which included five first-level indexes and 24 second-level relative indexes. The improved Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP)-Criteria Importance Though Intercrieria Correlation (CRITIC) method was utilised to determine the weighting of indexes at all levels, while the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to an Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method was employed to evaluate the development level of agricultural mechanisation. The results indicated, the agricultural mechanisation degree A1 holds the highest significance with a weight of 0.271, indicating that A1 remains a crucial factor influencing the level of agricultural mechanisation in the new development stage. Heilongjiang has the highest level of agricultural mechanisation development, which the greatest nearness degree is 0.507, nevertheless, Shaanxi’s nearness degrees is only 47% of Heilongjiang, there is a regional imbalance in the development level of agricultural mechanisation among China’s main soybean producing provinces (regions). The evaluation conclusion provides direct recommendations for promoting the high-quality advancement of agricultural mechanisation in China’s main soybean producing provinces (regions) in the new stage.
