Abstract

This paper studies the adaptive control problem for large-scale nonlinear systems with parameters uncertain. A novel adaptive controller is explicitly designed to achieve the asymptotic output tracking. The developed control scheme contains a novel nonlinear filter, which can eliminate the boundary layer effects caused by the traditional linear filters at each step in the Dynamic Surface Control (DSC) procedure. The proposed DSC algorithm not only can avoid the inherent problem of “explosion of complexity in the back-stepping procedure but also can hold the asymptotic output tracking. Some simulations are shown to demonstrate the effectiveness and advantages of the developed controller.
