Abstract

Apart from being an entertaining game, Tangram’s practice facilitates the stimulation of various cognitive skills which are fundamental to good cognitive development for the el- derly. This paper reports the user experience measurement using two different tools based on this puzzle game: One based on a Natural User Interface that was developed for the iPad and a second tool using Tangible User Interface merging real tangram pieces and augmented reality tech- niques. This preliminary study was performed with sev- enteen participants with a variety of different disabilities and ages. Not only was the interaction with both systems analyzed and compared, but also feedback was taken from written observations and user experience questionnaires.
