Abstract

This paper presents a proposal for a methodology that evaluates the measurement performance of power quality monitors. It entails a procedure which includes, for each power quality parameter, technical and metrological characteristics demanded by the IEC 61000-4-30. This is accomplished by running three test types as well as by using the ISO-GUM. In applying this methodology, irregular features of the tested equipment are identified while considering the IEC 61000-4-30 requirements. Moreover, the laboratory results of employing the aforementioned methodology with the measuring equipment are put forth.
