IRAM 2012
The First International Conference on Robotics, Automation and Manufacturing (IRAM2012) was established and organized at Monash University Malaysia Campus during 28–30 November, 2012. IRAM2012 was successful in attracting 102 full paper submissions, from more than 15 different countries, addressing state-of-the-art developments in robotics, automation, and manufacturing. After a rigorous peer-review process of the full paper submissions, the program committee selected 64 deserving papers for inclusion in a Springer-CCIS volume. The authors of the selected papers were invited to submit an extended version of their papers to the special issue for IJRA. Eight papers, which were presented at the conference, were selected for the possible publication in this special issue based on the review results of the conference papers, and the authors were invited to submit their papers. The selected papers were assessed by independent international assessors. Finally, five papers were accepted to be published in this special issue.
