Fault tolerance, actuator (sensor) systems, controllability, observ- ability.
This paper describes the analysis of fault tolerance properties when the system is subject simultaneously to actuator and sensor faults. The principle of this approach consists of evaluating controllability (observability) to build minimal and redundant subsets of actuator (sensor). These subsets are organized into an oriented graph which contains all possible actuator (sensor) sets such that the system remains controllable (observable). The analysis of this graph allows computing the redundancy degrees and reconfigurability measures which evaluate the system fault tolerance with respect to actuator (sensor) failures. A five tank system demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
