Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to present a self-adaptive dynamic programming technique for the solution of unit commitment problem. A multi-objective, multistage decision-making problem has been solved analytically without the familiar lambda (λ) form. The optimization algorithm has been developed with a sequential dynamic programming model. The validity of this approach has been demonstrated with a system, which exhibits perfect solution accuracy with that obtained by conventional methods.
