Abstract

The traditional embedded-based large-capacity image storage system faces challenges, such as, poor flexibility, high development complexity, and the lack of the ability to efficiently retrieve keyframe images. To address these issues, this paper proposes a timestamp hash lookup method for large-capacity image storage, and applies this method in a Zynq system. To achieve fast retrieval of keyframe images, we pad the captured images with timestamps and store them in an eMMC. A hash lookup algorithm is designed to establish a mapping between image timestamps and image pointers, with the hash table stored in NOR Flash. Simulation results show that the system can efficiently and accurately retrieve keyframe images from eMMC utilising the time data sent by the host computer.
