Abstract

According to the mechanical characteristics of reinforced concrete ribbed arch bridges, the rib failure mode is proposed as the main failure mode of such bridges, and a mathematical model for reliability analysis of a reinforced concrete ribbed arch bridge system is established. The failure of such a system is studied by the method of critical strength with support constraints. By comparing various methods, the formal method of system reliability solution is determined to be the reliability calculation method of reinforced concrete arch bridge systems, and the calculation equation of the saliency coefficient of reinforced concrete ribbed arch bridge components is given. The process of reliability analysis of a reinforced concrete ribbed arch bridge system is summarized and its effectiveness verified by an example. The research results can provide for the reliability analysis of reinforced concrete ribbed arch bridge systems.
