Abstract

One of the main features of most hybrid structures, which is not so desirable, is their large size. The aim of this paper is to introduce an abstraction methodology to decrease the size of the hybrid model, depending on the goal and type of the system’s mission. This abstraction is performed over a multi-agent (MA) framework and an individual agents’ structure in two different levels. One equivalence map is defined for each level to map the hybrid multi- agent system (MAS) to another hybrid structure. The application of this methodology is shown through a practical example. The results show that the equivalent MAS simulates a submission of the original MA’s mission properly by a small size and a simple model.
