Abstract

To deeply study the induction principle and fault characteristics of the transmission system gear fault information in the stator current signal of the wind turbine generator, based on the motion equation of the asynchronous motor in the drive system, the double motor mechanical drive simulation model between motor and doubly-fed generator is established in the MATLAB/SIMULINK environment. And a simulation test bench for the transmission gear faults of doubly-fed wind power generator is built up by using a general inverter. Through the computer simulation analysis and the test bench contrast experiment of the normal and fault conditions, the results show that: the generator stator current can completely reflect the fault characteristic information of gear in the transmission system, but it is easily affected by the variable frequency excitation harmonic of rotor, and it is difficult to identify. But this problem can be solved by the instantaneous frequency demodulation spectrum.
