Adaptive Power and Rate Control for Wireless Networks with Time-Varying Delay

Abstract

Power and rate control are important requirements for wireless networks. There have been only a few results on power and rate control for time delayed wireless networks. Especially, little result on power and rate control for wireless networks with time-varying delay has been reported in the literature. This paper investigates power and rate control for wireless networks with time-varying delay. By combining adaptive control technique and robust H control approach, an adaptive robust H power and rate controller is presented, and robust H performance of the closed-loop system is analyzed via linear matrix inequality (LMI). Simulation results are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
