In this paper, we describe a new interactive museum guide system that provides both interactive guidance and map navigation. By using ubiquitous communication such as NFC, the system can automatically start a multimedia guidance with interactive GUI, also support a map view with zoom function to show the visit's current position and visiting status. The new system also provides a powerful and efficient device management performance that can monitor the device status and update the contents in the devices and obtain the user's operation data. The new system is used to provide a guide service in several museums in Japan, and a good performance was confirmed.
