Our study investigated in this article analyses energy usage, its efficiency computation and optimization capacity of an industrial sector. This investigation in addition facilitated the identification of uneconomical management of energy in the Canadian industrial sector and suggests its practical saving potentials. Integrating Index Decomposition Analysis (IDA) and Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) has successfully been employed for this investigation.
