Abstract

Restaurants have often failed to take full advantage of modern technology to improve everyday business. Proposed is a dynamic menu that would be embedded within the physical dining table as well as a Flash® -compatible mobile telephone. This menu would include an interface controlled by a touch screen monitor or a mobile device. The menu is designed to improve the three goals of a restaurant operation: work efficiency, customer density, and customer satisfaction. With the ability to provide real time, dynamic information, customers’ food ordering experience can be enhanced by accessing a rich variety of data before and during a meal.
