Abstract

In this study we propose a new approach to derive complete stability ranges of 2-by-2 interval matrices. We also propose a method to obtain complete stability ranges of 3-by-3 interval matrices, of which diagonal elements are fixed. The proposed methods are based on the stability feeler, a robust stability analysis tool recently proposed by Matsuda and Mori. Considered interval matrices are multi-parameter dependent. In order to derive stability ranges of multi-parameter dependent matrices, we also use extreme point results. The proposed methods enable one to derive complete stability ranges of the above classes of interval matrices.
