Abstract

It is necessary to perform security validation for large-scale power system’s day-ahead operation schedules, which involves static security, dynamic and transient stability evaluation. It is a fundamental task and great challenge to generate AC power flow snapshots which should comply with the operation schedules. This paper presents a novel method to generate day-ahead scheduled power flow. The problem is formulated as an optimization model with constrains and solved by active/reactive power decoupled method in this paper. Numerical results of IEEE test system and real power system show that the proposed method is feasible and practical.
