Abstract

Algorithms for ultra wideband microwave imaging in a nonhomogeneous background are described. Numerically calculated Green’s functions are used to back propagate the observed signal to the image domain. A time domain back projection algorithm is developed for imaging small, close range regions by using calculated signal delay times in the non-homogeneous background. Simulated and experimental examples are given to show the potential of the algorithms.
