Abstract

High-temperature tests were carried out for three kinds of superheater materials, TP316, 15CrMo and T91, used in biomass power plants in this article. The corrosion kinetics were studied and discussed under conditions of 600–700◦C KCl medium with analysis of weight change and metallurgical microscope. It can be concluded that the order of high-temperature performance is T91 > TP316 > 15CrMo. The calculation of activation energies can demonstrate that the corrosion process was accelerated for 15CrMo after first hour experiment.
