Abstract

This paper describes a real world browsing system through humanoid robot controlled by multi-touch devices. Our aim is to realize a real world browsing system using the web-browser on multi-touch devices, and to provide a seamless switching between web browsing and real world browsing. Our system provides an intuitive interface to enable users to concentrate what they would like to see without considering how they control the robot. We develop a prototype humanoid robot named Robovie-II and control system by iPad / iPod touch through TCP/IP connection to confirm the effectiveness of our approach.
