Abstract

Wind power resource is abundant in Northwest China, but large scale wind farm brings many problems when integrates to the State Grid. The major one is that the output power of wind energy generation varies with the wind itself. In this paper, a battery system is utilized to improve power quality. My discussion and simulation is about an advanced grading energy storage system which can improve quality of power and controllability. Moreover, to achieve the standard of integration, grading can reduce the capacity of battery compared with none-grading battery system, so it is easier to implement. To optimize, battery control strategy is used.
