Abstract

The paper presents results from computer simulation and experimental study of a three-phase shunt active power filter (APF). The reference curves for the supply network current, called “equivalent sinusoids”, are generated using the balance of the active power before and after the turning on of the filter. The method is combined with hysteresis control while the load changes are continuously monitored in real time.
