There is currently a proliferation of discharge lamps due to their better performance than incandescent lights. For this reason, several works based on different DL behavior hypotheses provide analytical expressions of discharge lamp harmonic currents. This paper reviews these studies analyzing their assumptions and reporting the harmonic current expressions. The analysis is completed with laboratory measurements and PSpice simulations.
